Canton - Chuck Kohler, 88, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at his residence.
He was born on September 17, 1933 in Canton to John and Margaret "Maggie" (Hadsall) Kohler. They preceded him in death.
He married Jaki James on August 13, 1959 in Canton. She survives.
Also surviving are his children, John (Carol) Kohler of Canton, Christine Kohler of Canton, two grandchildren, Katey (Colin) Davis, Lauren Kohler and one great grandchild, Autumn.
Chuck was a self-employed Barber in Canton and the owner/operator of Kohler Trucking.
He was a member of the Canton Elks Lodge #626, Canton American Legion and the Canton VFW.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a graveside service will be held on Monday, May 9, 2022, at 11 am at Greenwood Cemetery in Canton.
Memorials may be made to the Fulton County Humane Society.

So sorry to hear of Chuck's passing. He was a US Military Veteran, one of the nicest guys and the best barber I ever met. Always ready to discuss anything - golf was one of his favorite topics. I can only remember meeting Chuck once to discuss milk bottles, but have known Chris for many years and had the legendary Jaki as a teacher my senior year of high school. Jaki was one of the great influences in my life in both of my careers. My utmost respect to her and her family.

Chuck was a guy you could always talk sports with. He knew Canton sports and loved to discuss them. He liked to talk golf and golf history in the county as well. Chuck was proud of his family and he was proud of his community. His roots are here and will be for many decades. He is gone but not forgotten. A very good man

After the fire on the square, Chuck started barbering on west Elm with Frankie and Jim. I was the shoeshine boy there in the early seventies. Have known Chuck since then. Loved whellin and dealin with him in recent years at his antique shop. I share in your sorrow and celebrate his legacy. Truly one of the good ones
