Canton - Jeff Stanley, 58, of Canton, passed away Monday, April 8, 2019 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
He was born on October 5, 1960 to Elmer and Iona (Fahey) Stanley.
Surviving are two children, Vince (Ericia) Stanley, of Winter Garden Florida, Jorden (Kaylee) Stanley, of Canton, one grandson Rhett Stanley, the mother of his children, Holly Ray, one brother Tom Stanley, two sisters Valerie Stanley, and Vickie Sepich, one aunt, Betty Barnes and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one nephew.
Jeff worked at Graham Hospital, he was a member of the First Baptist Church in Canton where he was a devoted leader of the food pantry, he was a member of the fisherman's club, he enjoyed helping people and mowing but most of all he loved spending time with his friends, family and his grandson Rhett.
A funeral will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton at 10:00 a.m., visitation will be held at the funeral home the night before, Friday, April 12, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Burial will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Canton.
Memorials can be made to the First Baptist Church Food Pantry.
A Funeral Luncheon will be held following the service at the First Baptist Church in Canton.
The Reverend Monroe Bailey will officiate the funeral service.

We are so shocked and saddened by Jeff's passing. We was a great guy. Always fun to talk too. My first date with Steve we went to Jeff and Holly's. Lots of good memories. The family is in our prayers.
Jeff was such a good person. He was kind and compassionate and always willing to help out a friend. He is going to be missed. My prayers for the family. I pray peace and comfort during this hard time.

I head up the canned food drive at Eastview school. I loved when Jeff came to pick up the food. He was so compassionate about the food bank. The community will definitely miss him. So sorry for your loss.

Jeff Stanley was a wonderful man and I learned a lot about how a food pantry operates.
I enjoy working at the food pantry on Monday mornings helping to serve the community and I will continue to do so.
I will miss his smile.
